Several of you who attended the concert in Statesville asked for copies of the pictures. I've picked the six best ones to post. They are posted with the long dimension at 600 pixels, but if you click on the picture you can get the really big 1200 pixel version. I've also included a little commentary with each one. Enjoy!
First, the group shot that seems to have become a standard ritual at all Órla concerts. I tweaked the original to do a little red-eye cleanup and improve the lighting.
Here is Órla at her harp during an instrumental piece. Notice her concentration and the blurred fingers. She can really fly across those strings!
Here's happy Órla, clapping along with Amberly and Dan during an instrumental bridge. Don't you just love that smile? And Amberly's, too.
Here's Órla really sinking into an emotional part of one of her slow songs. She can rip out your heartstrings if you're not careful.
Here's the exact opposite of the previous picture. This is Órla belting out a powerful crescendo. Hold on to your hats!
Here is Órla just being Órla.
And finally, the best picture of the night. Words can hardly do justice to the beauty and emotion being shown here. I was so happy that I got a good picture during this song. This one is especially for Zee because it was taken during
Simple Love which Órla dedicated to her. *Sigh*
For the techies out there, these were all taken with my Olympus C-770 camera. It is a surprisingly high-quality camera with a great lens disguised in a point-and-shoot package. I bought it as my "concert" camera in 2004 for the Corrs concerts I was attending and it hasn't let me down since.
