Who sings which part in At The Ceili?

And one more question.  Cheesy How would you prononce Ceili? Sometimes it sounds like they are saying one thing, then saying something else.  Huh

A very confused,

Haley sangs Meav's parts in "At the Ceili"

I pronouce "ceili' with a hard "c" sound. That is the only way I know how to say it.

Here's how Maggie(the forum Irish expert Smiley) said that ceili is pronounced:

kay-lee

Hope this helps!  Smiley

The beginning is obviously sung by all 3 ladies: Lisa, Meav and Orla.

The first part about the "boys they love so well" that are in New York and Boston etc. is sung by Lisa. She then sings with Meav for the second "He writes me letters every week..."

Then Orla sings her part about wanting to meet someone who will make her heart beat fast.

And then Meav sings about having to choose between the poor and the rich man.

The rest of the song is the 3 ladies together, with the exception of each of the ladies singing a line about her success at the ceili!

Its such a great song! Hard to sit down while its playing!  Wink
