Huge, huge Eva Cassidy fan.  Remarkable voice that was taken from us way too soon.  Her cover of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" to me is the best.  Would love to hear Lil Lambe's treatment of the song, given her great cover of "Auld Lang Syne".

Here’s another Eva performance, this time covering an old Buddy Holley song that many of you might remember, “I Guess It Doesn’t Matter Anymore” (one of my all time favorites).  A little known fact is that very few of her published songs were studio recorded, making the quality of her work all the more remarkable.  She was an extraordinary guitarist as well, often providing the only accompaniment for her songs, as is true with this one:

CW has really opened my eyes to the world of Irish music, and I am finding myself enjoying things like Celtic Thunder, The High Kings and The Dubliners.

Loreena McKennett is another great artist to check out.  I just love hearing the hurdy gurdy being played in this song!

Goran Bregovic- I went to one of his concerts a few years ago, and you cannot just sit; you have to start moving.

One of my favourite artists is Loreen, who won ESC last year. Her songs aren't the sugary kind that a lot of entries that show up.

Euphoria: Her winning entry in Baku http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4PMQB5zmAU
My Heart is Refusing Me: I've been listening to this one a lot lately because of things that are happening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWFga5-t6Kg
Sober: Somewhere between MHiRM and Euphoria http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xXtAhX-eiM
