The Moody Blues are currently touring the eastern US -- Florida this week and then moving north -- one of the greatest groups of all time.
www.moodybluestoday.com has the full schedule.
The group starts a new tour in September. Smiley

The Gothard Sisters are a young upcoming group in the world of Irish music. They have videos on You Tube.  I saw them in concert last week.  They play multiple instruments, sing and are championship quality Irish dancers.

Aselin Debison. Her earlier offerings are harder to find as they aren't on iTunes (aside from YouTube of course Wink), but I have 3/4 of her albums (2 physical 1 digital), just have one left to complete the collection... And it's the rarest one I have left to collect. Sad

Remembering Teresa Teng (Deng Li Jun) on what would have been her 61st birthday, January 29, 2014 (1953--1995).

Total package, the legendary Teresa Teng was perhaps the greatest singer to ever live.  She spoke nine languages, seven fluently, and five of those seven with near perfect diction.  She was identified as one of the most influential singers in the world by Time Magazine and voted the most influential East Asian singer over the past sixty years.  Even today, when you eat at a Chinese restaurant, the voice you hear singing in the background is likely that of Teresa.  Though she has been gone for almost nineteen years now, Teresa's popularity and her fans' love for her have not faded.  There are still Teresa Teng singing competitions, all seeking to find someone with her magical voice and style.  Some seem to come close, but when the voices are compared side by side, Teresa simply blows them away.  Happy Birthday, Teresa!

"The Power of Love" was recorded during a live performance in 1985 at NHK, Tokyo, Japan a full seven years before Celine did her hit studio recording in 1992.  The original singer/songwriter was Jennifer Rush.

I love the Piano Guys! Grin

I've been listening to Runrig a lot recently.  They're a Celtic Rock-esque kind of group from Scotland.  Some of their songs have really beautiful lyrics.

Here are some of my favorites:
