Orla is currently leading in the Best Harpist and Best New Irish CD ( My Land ) categories!! As for Best Female Vocalist, it's a tough one - all the women are deserving and talented. Let your heart be your guide and vote - of course, it is no secret where MY heart lies!!

One thought for a Christmas present to all the Celtic Woman performers, is to join the Irish Music Association as a patron and cast a valuable Paid Member vote in the 2011 IMA awards for them in the categories in which they are nominated!  It only costs $15!  http://www.irishmusicawards.com/

Time is running out for voting in the IMA awards- January 12th is the deadline.

Orla has posted on Facebook that she really appreciates the support she has received thus far in the voting. So, if you haven't done so already, please vote!

Just a week to go in the voting!  Those of you are who are perhaps holding off joining as patrons, you might commit to keeping up with announcements here and joining if we raise the alarm at some point between now and 3 p.m. on Jan. 12.  Suppose Orla's opposition posted a late surge on Jan 10 (like we did last year  Tongue)?  We would want to have folks quickly join and vote (as we didn't in sufficient numbers last year  Cry).

How heartbreaking it would be if we lost due to a tepid response to a surge in voting from the opposition!  Please stay with us in this effort for Orla and the rest of the Celtic Woman nominees!  Smiley

The IMA is coming to a close in the next few days now is not the time to be complacent.  I have not said much this year but for a few dollars you can become a patron and make your vote really count.  It was the paid votes last year that made the difference in the end.  Please support Orlagh just think of all she has done for us.

Thank you.

Although the "official" announcement from the IMA won't come until January 26th, it appears that our girl won Best Harpist and Best New Irish CD ( My Land )!!!

Congrats, Orla - you definitely deserve these honors and more!
