For all who have ordered the Christmas DVD from Rego, or are about to order, here is
an important announcement on their website:

Note about STREET DATE:of 10/02/2007

Rego Irish Records was informed in release related sell sheets by both our EMI label rep and the Manhattan Records Marketing Director handling the project before we put the DVD on sale that the street date for Live in Dublin on DVD would be 9/25/07. They informed us today (9/6/07)it will definately be 10/2.
Rego sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience, but it was a mistake that we did not make, honest!

The Manhattan Marketing Director sends this apology and we have had our label rep removed from our account.

Here is an apology from Manhattan Records:

Dear Rego Irish Records,
Please apologize on behalf of Manhattan Records for the miscommunicated release date of 9/25 on the Celtic Woman "A Christmas Celebration: Live from Dublin" DVD release date. There was a good ole fashion type-o on the New Release Page that noted 9/25 when, in fact, the release date is and always has been scheduled for Oct 2. The DVD will not be available anywhere prior to this date.
Regards,
Tara Chiari, Sr Director Mktng
Manhattan Records

Does that affect pre-ordering it at all?

What it sounds like to me is that Rego won't be able to ship the DVD until 10/2.  That means that everyone who buys it locally at Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble (?), etc. will get their DVD immediately.  Those of us who ordered it from Rego, thinking it would be shipped on 9/25 to ARRIVE by 10/2, won't receive it until several days after the 2nd.   Embarrassed Embarrassed

I guess that means I will be buying a copy from my local store.  If I don't work Monday night I may be in there at midnight bugging them to get me a copy.  And since I work there they will just look at me like I'm crazy!

That's right.
I spoke with Marsha yesterday, she was VERY apologetic.
She told me they have fired the gal who gave them the wrong release date.

I'm leaving my order as it is......they always get them to us very quickly.
Better than searching the big stores.
