Oh you have made me very angry, very angry indeed!

« on: September 07, 2015, 11:17PM »

Hey guys! Here's a couple links to a promotion the girls did for the 10 Year Aussie Tour!

First is the interview: https://au.tv.yahoo.com/the-morning-show/video/watch/29463493/celtic-woman-down-under/

From there, the medley: https://au.tv.yahoo.com/the-morning-show/video/watch/29463577/celtic-woman-wow-the-morning-show/

The medley was the same as for The Late Late Show with the obvious exception of Eabha in Lynn's place. At first glance she does seem to have a some power behind her lower range. But it was a bit hard to tell because GEEZ Susan! That girl was belting it there!

Indeed.   Susan  and  Lisa  K.  are   the belters.  ( in  a  nice  way) Hayley   almost -  and  the  rest  somewhere  in between  belter  and  finesse  singer and  Meav  being  the  ultimate  finesse  singer.  All  of  our  Celtic  cuties- past  and  present-  indeed  have  different  sets  of  skills  and  styles  and  backgrounds  for  sure  which  has  always  been  the  bedrock  of  the  CW  charm.   Cool

The videos didn't load well, which is why I didn't watch the whole interview. Did they say anything interesting?

As for the medley, I am generally not too fond of CW tv appearances. They don't sound nearly as good there as they sound live. It may be the space in the studio, or the way some tv channels force performers to lip synch, like the German channel ZDF. CW sound and look especially bad when they lip synch, unlike those "performers" who always do it anyways.

But this was rather nice. One can't hear the single girls too good in that medley, especially Éabha. Susan had some Caledonia lines and Mairéad sang the first "da da datin dee da", but Éabha had very few lines. As the newest member, she should have gotten the biggest part in my opinion, to introduce her. We know how awesome the others are, anyways.

Most of Éabha's recordings are in her personal style and here she had to sing in a typical singing style, which was - nice. Unusual and not like her other recordings (Winter, Fire and Snow is probably the closest) but very, very nice. She is a fantastic performer and I'm very excited about hearing more from her.

The medley is also on YT:

Edit: And so is the interview! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGUt32gbBMc
I am going to watch it now Cheesy

Edit: Okay, skipped some of the parts... wasn't one of the more interesting CW interviews :/ What was that in the beginning with Éabha? I didn't understand everything, something about long hair, being tough and getting along o.O Didn't seem too nice :/

Thank you for the share
I discovered the link and pics last night though none of the link took you to the CW part not it identify as a new video instead bringing back old ones from 2012. It's exciting either way I will give Eabha a chance like I did with All but to
Readjust once again and again is why is exhaustinglish . Grin Except when blending past and new I love that so more..  Cheesy Good thing The tenth anniversary with Meav, Alex & Lynn brought back
Some clarity to the group. I mean if CW continues and continues this may be the most evolving survivin performing lineup ever!
Retune our ears.

I don't know about songs like Newgrange, but hearing Eabha in the medley the tone sounds as Deirdre to me bringing
Back CW as before in 2005.

As for Susan since this year geez she belt out Alex and Lynn on yrmp!!

I would take note Alex as a belter also esp on the Anj tour in 2007-08.  Smiley
She almost Did it again in May adding to Susan's.

I was a Bit jumped once I heard her turn on Lynn's use to cue Shocked I mean she's pretty to fit CW but we haven't heard a voice like that since A New Journey, very Irish. Tongue

I think Mairead C didn't we discover her on tour clips before the tv airings, if so then Eabha's a first second after Hayley, even Hayley we saw the PBS special 1st so Eabha's the only one. Smiley
