I have two questions about this outstanding song!
First fo all, it's an Éabha solo on the cd. However, it was said to be a group song in the concert. Is that information false or did they change it for the cd?
Secondly, is this an original song or a cover? I have searched for the song but all versions I've found were very different, in melody and lyrics. It#s said to be written by Mutt Lange, who is very famous. But I couldn't find a song called Walk Beside Me written by him, so is it possible he wrote that song specifically for Celtic Woman?

Mutt Lange? As in Shania Twain's ex-husband and songwriting collaborator Mutt Lange?!?!

Can someone verify if these lyrics are correct? Thanks in advance.
A child begins with one single step Then walks a million miles And though these wings are not ready yet I will try to fly
My eyes can't see My arms can't reach And each strength when I'm weak I need your faith in me
Don't walk in front of me I was not born to follow Don't walk behind me We were all born to lead Don't walk without me I might need you tomorrow
Walk right beside me Be the real friend I need
If you take small storms, one at a time You will move that whole mountain If you climb each rainbow, its gold that you'll find And shelter from the rain
My ears can't hear My heart can't feel And each strength when I'm weak I need your faith in me
Don't walk in front of me I was not born to follow Don't walk behind me We were all born to lead Don't walk without me I might need you tomorrow
Walk right beside me Be the real friend I need

It sounded to me like the other girls join in towards the end. That might be the reason why it is listed as a group song. I'm not totally sure though.

Susan and Mairead C. join the song in the very end for the last chorus - just as on the DVD.

The show has changed on this number, with male choir members Ronan Scolard and Glenn Murphy joining Eabha in the song now.

The show I went to in Dayton had, of course, the choir providing background vocals for Eabha. And then Susan and Mairead C joined her for the final chorus, as on the DVD. Are you saying that Ronan and Glenn join her on the final chorus?

You're in luck! Eabha sings with the choir beside her and Mairead Nesbitt to the side for most of the song. But near the end, Mairead Carlin and Susan McFadden come out and join Eabha and they embrace for the end of the song. It's really quite nice! https://www.facebook.com/celticwoman/videos/10154213991987838/
