The Call on SFTH has a completely different sound arrangement than the studio form TGJ. It's on The SFTH Deluxe CD I have and it's Live! It cannot be just Alex with the switch but agree during Alex's part the background music has a strong power punch sound to her part behind her whereas for Orla's time when she sang it, the background and her style to the part was rather softer air like than Grand.  When it comes to a DVD, I don't believe it's lipsynced. What's most likely happening is the recording is done live, but when it goes to DVD, they want it to sound just like the accompanying album, so it gets dubbed with a studio recording. Prime example is during Songs from the Heart. During "The Call," it's quite obvious they switch from a dub to Alex's live vocals in the first and second verses, as she didn't sing Orla's parts on the recordinf. A lot of artists do it. Because of this, you ARE hearing Meav in the choir. She is credited with vocals on that track on Destiny.
Their live shows are just that: live. Granted, since they tour with a smaller ensemble than is on a DVD, and due to some songs being written for four vocalists/changing members, there is some audible help on stage. Susan, Mairead, Eabha, and Mairead are always live, there's just some backing tracks for extra oomph.

I actually think that Oro might have been live. I don't know if it's just me, but Susan's voice seemed to be booming through much more prominently on the DVD version than on the cd version.

YayY! The wait was worthy of Wait!! Óro is even more incredible Amazing watching Meav move it with & to seeing her perform!!  She's a definite leader in the sail house!x Love the Huggies group on Westering, Rebecca fits great as a Next CW after Lynn.  |

Definetely. It's a good example of how the girls really sound when they sing live: extremely beautiful, but surely NOT exactly like the studio version (pity they keep using those version instead of the real live track for most of the DVD performances) |

This one is live and exciting seems though I can somehow tell as if the CD studio version has male choir voices singing the parts with the girls and not on this clip. It's nice to just listen to Susan, Eabha, Mairead sing so purely it's almost show's them cute side than studio they sound more adult driven. Meav is more powerful live as well. Definetely. It's a good example of how the girls really sound when they sing live: extremely beautiful, but surely NOT exactly like the studio version (pity they keep using those version instead of the real live track for most of the DVD performances)

Watching Meav moving with these girls cringes so much new perfection, I wish somehow for the future CW would
turn up the knot even plus more with Alex & Lynn alongside Meav and the rest on 1 performance!=
We need the member's whom haven't song together to do business! x
