I'm not sure who the original artist is, but I know that Órla covered the song before Celtic Thunder did. Wink

But Brendan Graham actually wrote it for Celtic Thunder.

At first I wasn't too thrilled finding out CW would sing it having heard all the previous versions!
Nevermind, CW made it so Beautiful esp with Susan, it blew the roof of CW history once again!!!

I don't know it's traditional but by now with CW covering it, it's bound to be more famous just like Orinoco Flow since Enya.

Artists who have sang "My Land":
Secret Garden: Inside I'm Singing (2007)
Órla Fallon: Distant Shore CD (2009) / My Land CD and DVD (2011)
Paul Byrom: This is the Moment (2011)
Celtic Thunder: Mythology CD and DVD (2013)
Celtic Woman: Destiny CD and DVD (2015)

There have been a few artists who have sung "My Land" before Celtic Thunder ever did.

Ha! Then Wikipedia was wrong and Brendan wrote it for Secret Garden, which makes muchmore sense.

Brandon Graham's been involved with a LOT of our favorite Celitc Woman songs over the years.

Here are the ones I can think of. Can you think of any more?

- My Land
- The Voice
- O America
- You Raise Me Up
- Sometimes a Prayer Will Do
- Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears
- Christmas Pipes
- The Blessing
- Sing Out!
- The Call
- The Soft Goodbye

On the Destiny tour show that I saw, the girls actually acknowledged just how important he's been to Celtic Woman ("a great friend" to the group is how Susan described him) which I thought was really classy!
