I  don't  think  he is.  David  is  heavily  invested  in his  current   project  "The Bloody Irish" .   With  a new  conductor, and with Meav being  the  creative  consultant  and  vocal coach, his return  seems  unlikely  at  this  point.

Well no, thats not entirely true. While he is no longer with CW, he is working on other projects with other artists, but "The Bloody Irish" project fell through, and is no more, hence why Lisa L is heavily promoting her new album in Ireland and throughout the U.K. She is also involved in several Acting theatre projects through the end of the year through the middle of next year apparently.  But yes, Meav is still the Creative consultant with CW.

Agreed. He is not with Celtic Woman. I don't have any expectation that he will return in the foreseeable future.

Gavin Murphy and Meav have done a pretty good job of taking over the reigns though. Destiny (I thought) was different but really good. I think the same will be true of Voices of Angels.

I know a few fans that pointed out that Destiny and Voices of Angels sound a bit different than previous albums. Then, they're surprised when I mentioned that Gavin Murphy is doing arrangements / music directing now instead David Downes.

I'm glad they recognized the name David Downes.

Understandable I suppose. It wasn't a particularly well-advertised transition. Maybe that was by design to not freak out the fan base (especially since the fans were already rattled by Chloë's departure). Or maybe it has something to do with the possible royalty issues between CW and Mr. Downes (info on that is still almost impossible to come by).

So I suppose one thing we can infer from this is that David Downes had a distinctive sound that fans of the "classic" Celtic Woman recognize. A testament to your talent, Mr. Downes.
