Mini-Review of We've Got Tonight

Chloe sang in "We've Got Tonight" on Eamonn McCrystal's album "And So It Goes" which released today.

Spoiler warning. Mini-review below.

Bob Seger's "We've Got Tonight" (aka We've Got Tonite) is one of my favourite songs. It's very difficult to live up to a song to live up to. It was certainly one of my top 10 favourite songs before Celtic Woman came along and stole my heart.

Chloë solos a couple of verses and there is some nice Chloë/Eamonn harmony. As always. Chloë is fantastic.

This cover of "We've Got Tonight" isn't utterly spectacular, but it is a pretty rendition. Even for people that aren't Eamonn fans yet, there are several reasons to like this song:
  • It has Chloë and anything with Chloë is awesome by association.
  • The song itself is great.
  • The part where they sing together is nice.
  • It's a nice arrangement, even though it may not blow you away.

It's a song I enjoyed without jumping up and down with excitement.

"Pray for Peace" is definitely a stronger track though.

I honestly think "We've Got Tonight" would be even better as a video (or maybe live if you're luck enough to see them on their upcoming tour and if they perform this). Seeing Chloë's incredible passion while she's singing would take this to another level.

Bob Seger's version will always be my favourite version of "We've Got Tonight," but I think I think most people will enjoy the cover and there are lots of people that will love it.
