I had a thought earlier this week and almost forgot about it until the recent post about an I See Fire cover...

What if we all contact some of our local radio stations and request Celtic Woman Christmas songs!

I've honestly never requested a song from any radio station.

However, now that I think about it, requesting a few songs could have a lot of benefits, including:
- Promoting the Home for Christmas tour and Celtic Woman in general
- Promoting the Celtic Woman Christmas album, Voices of Angels, and Celtic Woman in general
- Get them out to a wider audience. I've never heard a Celtic Woman song played on the radio here. I heard Hayley on a classical station once. Think of how many people are missing out?

I honestly think Celtic Woman has the best Christmas songs. Trans-Siberian Orchestra has some good ones too, but those get played all the time.

Celtic Woman deserves to be on the radio here in Canada, in the US, and around the world!

Let's force the hands of the radio stations and make this happen!

It looks like a few songs from Celtic Woman's A Christmas Celebration cd are being played on "America's Best Music" radio network affiliate stations.

I saw the playlist of Sunny 1550 (KKOV AM) in Portland, Oregon. Here is the link to listen live http://kkovam.tunegenie.com/#listenlive

also WILE 99.7 FM (Byesville, Ohio) is listed as an affiliate of America's Best Music.

Some of us sent emails to ABM in 2014 and asked them to play CW songs -- and they did. Wink
(There is another topic for ABM on the General Discussion board.)

Almost that time of year again.

I hope it's not too much to ask this year to PLEASE hear Celtic Woman on the radio when I'm driving?

P.S.
I guess if they're not comin' Home for Christmas this year, I'll just have to be takin' 'em on the road with me.   Grin

Here's a link to a station in Reno, Nevada

http://www.easy1041.com/station-info/

They are not playing any Christmas music as of right now, but they do air "America's Best Music". I don't know if they have any local originated dayparts.

It is too bad "America's Best Music" dropped the air personalities. I would have loved to hear them talk about Celtic Woman.

On a different note, I wish they would add regular Celtic Woman music to their regular format.

Star 102.5 in Buffalo, NY is now all Christmas music. I looked at the playlist they have online and they did play "Carol of the Bells" by Celtic Woman, but it looks like it is not in high rotation. There website is http://www.mystar1025.com/
