Celtic Woman has been nominated for a Grammy!

A great question was posed in another thread, so I created this poll to help us decide.

If Celtic Woman gets to perform one song from Destiny, which should it be?

Óró Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile, for sure! It includes Méav and the whole group, is the most traditional and significant, and simply a great title! Also, Tir Na nOg would do, to include Oonagh.

I picked Westering Home cuz it's a traditional song (Scottish, but still Celtic) but it's also in English so it'll be easier for the masses to understand. Bean Phaidin would also be okay since it's part in English.

Oro, or Bean Phaidin. It needs to be a group song. I can't decide between the two. Both have a lot of good energy with them. Westering Home may work too, but I'd prefer the others. I don't think When You Go is as a good of a group song as the other three. I think the energy needs to be pretty dang high too.

Why are there two Oró choices?

I agree though. It should be a group number. When You Go doesn't have a Celtic feel so I say no to that one. My Land would be great too. The only problem is no Mairead C solo. I think it has to be a group song that features a solo for all the girls.

I fixed the duplicate Oró.

It's shown as Sometimes A Prayer Will Do now.

Tough call.

It has to be a group song with all of them.

I of course am madly in love with My Land. And it would allow both Mairead and Tara to be in the song (Tara on harp, like in Destiny):

However, My Land doesn't give a solo part to each of the singers.

I also love Westering Home. It has slightly more pace than My Land and gives a solo part to each singer.

Óró Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile is a good choice from a cultural standpoint (Easter Rising Centernary).

Bean Phaidin kind of has the best of all worlds for a general audience. It gives everyone a solo, it has moderate pace. It has Irish and English and it's a fun song too. I can see a general audience getting into this one and clapping along. One might argue the harmony is less spectacular than in the previous 3 songs mentioned though and personally, I think their harmony is their biggest draw.

For the moment, I'm going to go with Westering Home for it's harmony and because it has solo parts for all the ladies. But there are lots of good choices.

I picked Siuil a Run because it's a traditional Irish song and a group number but honestly any of the group numbers would be great!

That would be a great song for them to perform should they have the opportunity!

Óró Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile is my pick especially if Meav joins present.

For My Land, Mairead C can duet with Eabha this time instead of Susan. Grin
