I have a lot of Celtic Woman CD's and other groups also.  It seems that my CD's only last for about 25-30 plays before they die.  This seems like an awfully short lifespan.  How long do your CD's last?

I've never had one die.

If unscratched and not subjected to severe temperatures / swings, optical media should not degrade for hundreds of years if not longer.

Thanks, Tom.  I'm still looking for a solution.

I have CW Cd`s that I play in the car. They`re stored in the center console when not in use . The car is in a unheated garage so there`s heat and cold but the Cd`s always work fine. Just been listening to Raining Up...bought "donkeys years" ago, always stored in the car and it sounds as good as ever. I would suspect you`re CD player might be the culprit.

My Dad just dropped my Hibernia CD in it's signed jacket twice on the floor this weekend, so we'll see how that holds up (jacket's a bit digged up, but that was going to happen eventually, I suppose).

Kevin may be right.  I ordered three new "Voices of Angels" CD's recently.  They arrived the other day.  I put one in the CD player and it stopped playing about a third of the way through.  Now I am looking for a good quality CD player.

That's kind of scary.

I haven't had any problems with my VoA CD yet. Hopefully it stays that way.
