I bet the furniture company that said "free furniture if the Red Sox win the series" at the first of the season is regretting it now. Actually, Jordan's Furniture had an insurance policy. Some 30,000 customers spent over US$3 million! Now I'm wishing I had bought some new chairs. Oh well. I was one of many parents who awakened his children (I have two sons) to watch the ninth inning. Of course, I'd have woke them up anyway when I yelled, "It's strike three!!!!!!!!" These late nights were killer.

One day Cub fans, one day I am glad the Yankees did not win it. Now A-Rod will not return Now if the Cubs can finally get their act together, its only been 99 years. Very True! 2008 had better be the Cubbies year. They have no excuses.

Hi Dakota: If it's any consolation, when my SF Giants were in the 1989 World Series against the Oakland A's, we got swept too. Not a fun feeling. I have a feeling we will see the Rockies again in the World Series soon, they sure pounded on the Giants this year.

Great day for Red Sox Nation!!!!The Red Sox just finished their Victory parade thru the city of Boston. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day with thousands of people lining the parade route. The Owners, Team members and the World Series trophy were paraded in "duck" boats. Our closer, John Papelbon and band "Drop Kick Murphys" were paraded in a 18-wheeler flatbed. This allowed Papelbon to perform his Irish jig for thousands of fans. The Irish influence on Boston was everywhere! IF the Sox win again, ......... Celtic Woman? Want to also congrats the Colorado Rockies. It's unbelievable they were in 4th place in September. A month later, they've won 21 of 22 games and in the World Series.

From this long-suffering Seattle sports fan (stupid Mariners blew-it again this season, no surprise), I tip my ball cap to the Sox and their fans. I've always like this team. LOL @ Yankees. Colorado has proven that you don't need to spend on big-name superstars to get rings.
