I thought it added class, a representation of the ladies.

I definitely LOVE the idea of a logo for the forum.
The designs so far have been great - I agree with Rich that it should be simple and not too busy though.

Here's one I just finished . . . was supposed to be a Claddagh-type thing.  I like it better than the first one I made anyway, haha.  For some reason it doesn't show up in the preview, let's see if it works if I post it.

I like that, Siobhán.

It covers all bases....it's fun...I like the Claddagh theme....and at least the letters are.....CELTIC!

I think the CW Ladies would like it.

I would buy that one!

That would make a very pretty pin or brooch Siobhan.

I think the idea is fantastic!  I also love the examples that have been put up, they are all very creative.  Me, I have zero artistic talent at all, so there's not much I can offer to the creative process, other than one thought that has already been mentioned.

I think the design should be elegant and unique, but also kept reasonably simple.  A lot will depend on what is, or isn't, approved for the logo's use.  If it winds up being used only on the forum site itself, then it could be more elaborate, but if those doing the work decide to let the logo be used for promotional purposes, keeping it simpler will make it more versatile.

I realize this is getting a bit ahead of things, but from looking at the poll, I'd say there is little doubt the logo idea is being well received.  With that in mind, some ideas of it's use may help those who work on the creative sides as well.

With that in mind, I'd love the idea of something like hats, T-shirts, pins, etc.  These would be things that can let us be known.  I'd also suggest something that may be available for wearing when other options aren't appropriate, such as to a concert.   Whether something is designed that could be worn with concert attire, or even something as simple as creating an image that is made availble for people to print onto a "sticker" nametag, which can be bought almost anywhere, it would not only let us show our pride, but if we're lucky enough to be seen by anyone on stage or otherwise associated with the group, it would let them know that we are there.

I can't wait to see more ideas coming up!

Oh, and for the record, I think the bears are cute as can be too!  Maybe if this goes as well as it seems, those could even be included in the next "gift basket" prepared for delivery to a show ... la gift that's even more personally connected from our forum family to the ladies themselves!

Hey Rich
I'm just putting in my 2 cents worth I think you have a great
idea and many fine examples to choose from.
JRRacings looks cool but you might need ID to buy it.
(kind of looks like a wine bottle) not criticizing it at all.
