I was wondering if I might impose on an Irish-speaker in the forum for a favor. A friend of mine in another city hosts a weekly radio show on a campus radio station. I listen to it each week over the internet. He has a CD by an Irish singer (Fionnuala Gill) that has some tracks he would like to play on next week's program. His Irish is about as good as mine (
) and he doesn't want to butcher the titles if he plays and acknowledges the Irish-titled tracks.
I offered to make some enquiries through my contacts on the CW fan forum to see if I could come up with some phonetic pronunciations for him.
So, I would be immensely grateful if someone could help me by providing such pronunciations for these songs.
The four titles of concern are:
An Mhaighdean Mhara
Mo Ghile Mear [this song is familiar to us CW-types, but I confess I don't really know how to say it!]
Suantraí Ár Slánaitheora
A Mhuire Na Ngrás
