I always enjoy the way the Irish press writes about Chloe.

In this article from the Sunday Independent (registration required),

http://www.unison.ie/irish_independent/stories.php3?ca=43&si=1791626&issue_id=15356

the reporter notes Celtic Woman's then-forthcoming appearance before the President:

Quote
...Speaking of hearts, Chloe Agnew is bound to cause a few to flutter at The White House when she and the rest of Celtic Women sing for Dubya on St Patrick's Day. It will be a breakfast performance because Chloe (Twink and David Agnew's daughter, of course) and her crew are jetting to New York straight after to perform at Radio City Hall - the first of two sold-out shows in the Big Apple. Indeed, the entire tour of the US of A is a sell-out.

I'm sure that hearts were a-fluttering indeed.

But I still find it astonishing that no one has ever discovered any photos or videos of this performance. It's a fact that the group sang four songs, and that the Irish head of state was there, along with the U.S. President. Nothing happens at the White House without the press being on hand to cover it.

So where are the photos?  Huh I hope that someone, someday, can find a visual record of this historic performance, from earlier this year...

A lot of newspapers now require you to register in order to read their paper.

Oh, don't worry. You didn't miss anything. It wasn't a review (after all, the event hadn't happened yet, at the time of that writing), but a small piece in a larger article about general Irish celebrity happenings, and I posted the complete text of what pertained to CW.

The other details (like the fact that the group performed four songs, and that the Irish head of state was there, along with the U.S. President) I gleaned from another source -- which I don't have at hand. I'll try to look it up.

I just left a message on the White House web site asking about that luncheon.
If I get an answer, you can be sure you will get it here first...

That was a great idea. I hope you get a response. There's no question that the event was photographed, and possibly filmed. (With two heads of state, it's a guarantee.) US Presidents have a press corps that follows their every public movement.

It's just a matter of finding out who did the shooting...

Well, then, on second thought, maybe we can just take a mystery search of these photos about this topic. Roll Eyes That would work for me. Wink

Maybe after the tour, whoever is in charge of "prohibiting pictures" will nod off the strict rule Grin
