No, I can see it too... Not too fond of the idea, but that's just me.

This song was written by Howard Blake specially for a short British made-for-TV movie, "The Snowman" in 1982.
The little movie won awards and became a Christmas tradition every year.
It is still loved in England. I have the DVD.

The theme "Walking in the Air" was sung by a boy soprano, Peter Auty, of Saint Paul's Cathedral Choir.

Here it is on YouTube, but the video is very grainy:

The band Nightwish does a hard rock version of the song.  It is really quite good.  The vocalist has a unique voice (to say the least) but it works for the song.

That's the first track on Chloe's solo CD and DVD, and the Celtic Woman first group CD and DVD.

I can only imagine this being played... while SUPERMAN and his girlfriend are drifting accross the sky, in and out of clouds...

Yes, I remember first hearing this song when I was in 3rd grade and we watched The Snowman. Ever since I fell in love with the song, I'd been searching for it for years, and I was so excited when I finally found it!
Personally, I prefer the original piano version sung by Peter Auty, but Chloe's string version is beautiful and exciting too. And yes, I think it might fit Peter Pan, but it just works better in the film it belongs in: The Snowman.

I agree.
It was written specially for "The Snowman" and the words fit the movie exactly.

Not so with Peter Pan or Superman.

Why change perfection?

There is a music video of her standing on the grass in front of the beach with the wind in her hair performing this song from Chloe's DVD.

that is the song that hooked me on celtic woman.  I was cleaning house and my mate was channel surfing. i heard 3 notes and came running, kicked butt to gain control of the remote, was completely floored, and then I was hooked.  set the dvr to record it the next time it came on and watched it over and over and over... you know how it goes Wink

Is SNOWMAN only shown in England? I'm from the states and have never seen it... Has it been shown in the States.. sounds like it's a must see it if "Walking In The Air" is in it....
