I don't know if anyone is interested in this, but I thought it might be fun to try to recreate the performance order of the show. I figure that each one of us will remember either which performer sung a song, whether it happened in the first or second acts, and either what song preceded or followed it.

It's tricky, because the costume change doesn't happen between acts. A few of the songs in Act 2 use the first set of costumes, then there is At the Ceili, and then the second set of costumes come out.

The numbers beside the songs indicate whether they were the (1) first set or (2) second set of costumes.

[ACT 1]

The Sky And The Dawn And The Sun (group) (1)
Fields of Gold (Lisa) (1)
The Coast of Galicia (Mairead) (1)
When You Believe (Chloe) (1)
Carolina Rua (Lynn) (1)
Orinoco Flow (group) (1)
True Colours (Alex) (1)
The New Ground (Gavin Whelan)
Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears (group) (1)
The Blessing (Lisa) (1)
Granuaile's Dance (Mairead) (1)
Goodnight My Angel (Chloe, Lynn, Lisa) (1)
Danny Boy (group) (1)
Mo Ghile Mear (group) (1)

[ACT 2]

The Call (group) (1)
Dulaman (Lynn) (1)
You'll Be In My Heart (Alex) (1)
Last Rose of Summer (Chloe, Lynn) (1)
Last Rose Fantasia (Mairead) (1)
Nella Fantasia (Chloe) (1)
At The Ceili (Lynn, Alex, Lisa) (ceili dresses)
[DRESS CHANGE]
Shenandoah (Mairead) (1)
Have I Told You Lately (group) (2)
The Voice (Lisa) (2)
Sing Out! (group) (2)
Oh, America (group) (2)
You Raise Me Up (group) (2)
Spanish Lady (group) (2)

The rest of the songs were performed in act 1 after Orionco Flow, and Mo Ghile Mear did end act one.  It was Orionco Flow, Granuiles Dance, The Blessing, Isle of Hope, Goodnight my Angel, Danny Boy, Mo Ghile Mear.

Thank you very much. I suppose the order is now established, unless anyone else remembers things differently. Thanks!

What about Shenandoah?  Doesn't Máiréad play that after At the Ceili to give the other girls time to change?

Whoops! How interesting. I don't think that's printed in the program.

Perhaps that's an omission that is being remedied in the new printing.

Which would make sense, as the program lists 26 songs, and Shenandoah makes it 27 (13 Act 1, 14 Act 2).

Oh, thank you! All through the intermission I kept looking for a pen, but couldn't find one. I'd hoped someone would have had the presence of mind to jot down the order.

I'm sure you're right, then. I've amended my list to match yours.

Mind you, I wonder if there are any variations from show to show? But your list certainly "feels" right.

11)Goodnight My Angel [Alex, Lisa, Chloe]

Ah, here's an interesting discrepancy. In Mel's Chicago review, this song was noted as being performed with Lynn making up the trio rather than Alex. I personally don't remember which of the two it was. I do know Chloe was there.

I wonder if that's a part that changes from one performance to another?

Chloe, Lisa, and Lynn sing the song for sure because I remember telling Mel that Alex should be singing it because she's a mom too.

That leaves only one possible discrepancy. Jonas suggested this order (if he meant his list chronologically):

Orinoco Flow (group) (1)
Granuaile's Dance (Mairead) (1)
The Blessing (Lisa) (1)
Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears (group) (1)
Goodnight My Angel (Chloe, Lynn, Lisa) (1)
Danny Boy (group) (1)
Mo Ghile Mear (group) (1)

(with True Colours presumably preceding Orinoco),

while GreenTea has:

Orinoco Flow (group) (1)
True Colours (Alex) (1)
Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears (group) (1)
The Blessing (Lisa) (1)
Granuaile's Dance (Mairead) (1)
Goodnight My Angel (Chloe, Lynn, Lisa) (1)
Danny Boy (group) (1)
Mo Ghile Mear (group) (1)

I'm going with GreenTea for now ("notes"!). Any further thoughts between the two? I wonder if it's possible that two different shows could have had a slightly different order.

I'll take a copy of this list to tonight's show in Louisville and use it as a check-off, noting any discrepancies and post tomorrow.  I hope to have the presence of mind to follow through with it!   Cheesy

One minor addition...At the Chicago shows there was a short pipe solo played after True Colours and before Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears.  I don't know the name of the piece but it was performed both nights.

That song is called The New Ground.  David talks of it in his bio in the program.  David wrote it specifically to link with Brendan's Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears.

Ah, yes, I remember that too. Thank you, RedHeadLad and Kelli. All right, I've added it. According to the program, the performer is one Gavin Whelan. I wonder if that's not the same kind of instrument that was used to such great effect in the film Braveheart?
