IACS is the Irish American Cultural Society of Central Florida.
It started more than 30 years ago with the merger of 2 small Irish Groups, one of which was started by my Parish Priest Father Ennis.
We meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1:30pm.
I was President from 1998 to 2000, and also editor of the "Leprechaun" newsletter.

We usually have a Beach Weekend in May and October, which is always great fun.
We usually sell raffle tickets at our Meetings, the prize is a free Beach Weekend.
I have won it twice.

We decided to have a change this October.....82 of us are going on a 3-night Carnival cruise to the Bahamas
from Port Canaveral.
The cost is $239 per person, or $249 for an outside stateroom, more for a balcony stateroom.
Not bad when you consider what you get.
We have been selling raffle tickets, this time the prize is $500 cash which pays for the Cruise for 2.
We all have to take Halloween Costumes with us as we will be having a Halloween Party at sea.

This is what it says on the flyer:

Pre-Cruise preparation
•   Fun Pass information should be completed prior to embarkation.
•   Boarding Pass and Baggage Tags are available online. Print one Baggage Tag for each bag broad on board. If there any questions in regard to the Pre-Cruise preparation, contact Al Denecour for assistance at xxx-xxx-xxxx

Check-In: Earliest 12:30 – Latest 2:30 pm (Don’t arrive before noon)
Departure: 4:00 pm

Pier Check-In Procedure: Present the following documents:

•   Sat dinner (Ecstasy Dining Room-Atlantic Deck) – Halloween Dress

$25.00 In-room credit: Each room has a $25.00 credit on their “sign and sail” account ($12.50 for singles).
The money has to be used onboard (not redeemable for cash)…use it or lose it!

PRIVATE COCKTAIL PARTY: To kickoff the cruise, our cocktail party will be in the Plaza Lounge on the Promenade Deck 9 (rear of ship) from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the day of embarkation. Carnival will supply dry snacks and all the drinks you can consume at no charge…don’t miss out!

We will also have our drawing at this time. All 82 people in our group will be in the drawings. We will give away at least $500.
That will be followed by the raffle drawing for $500.00. In total, we will give out at least $1000.00 in cash!

Should be fun!  Cheesy
