Does anyone know if this is mairead herself singing in this catchy tune? I love the song but i don't know who the vocalist is...please help  Grin

Yep. It is Mairead. On the cd insert it says something like "vocals on track X - Mairead Nesbitt". Or something similer, I don't have my case on hand.

We have had several questions about Máiréad's song on the Forum.
In July and October 2007 I posted explanations of it.
It is a traditional lament, with a deep meaning.

You can see Mairead singing during Sing Out on the Slane DVD. So, she does enjoy it!

yeah and i think its funny that the only time in concert she ever says anything is in ACC when she says, in a very sultry voice, "Let it snow" at the end of the number
