Mel,
I don't know how to insert your quote (like Moscapoet). Try screencaps from the first part of Ashoken Farewell from about 20 sec in to about 45 sec, she is pretty (very much so) still, and gazing into the camera (and our souls!). I find it a glimpse into hers, and I like the sigh right after she blinks. There is also a place right at the end of My Lagan Love, just before she shivvers.
Don't worry, Moscapoet, I'm just totally enthralled by and enamoured of her (same as you!).

How does Mairead hold my Heart in her hands
when she touches bow to strings,
And Orla reach my Soul
when she strokes her harp and sings?  2B0B

Wonderful examples 2BOB! Yes indeed it is a glimpse into an incredibly beautiful soul straight from Heaven. Sometimes screencaps are the best way to get that in a still photo.

Erin,

I'm no where near a Mac at the moment but this is what Wikipedia said on the matter, as did several other sites I looked at.

Quote
Pressing Command-Shift-3 takes a screenshot of the entire screen, and Command-Shift-4 takes a screenshot of a chosen area of the screen or if you press Space afterwards you can choose a window on the screen to individually screenshot. These images are saved to the desktop, but if you hold down the control key with the rest of the keyboard shortcut, the pictures are copied to the clipboard instead. These shortcuts also work in Mac OS Classic.

Try that and if it doesn't work let me know.

Thanks aislin... I had already tried that.....

It works when I'm not watching a DVD but I want to make screen caps from the DVD's as I play them on the computer.

Erin,

Unfortunately, you can't directly capture screenshots from DVD's with a Mac running OS X or later. It can be done though! I use a free program called  DVD Capture. Its simple to use, just run it in conjunction with the DVD. PM me if you have any questions.

Choose save to disk and open it when it has downloaded.

Yes I have IMovie.... please pm me and explain what I have to do.

All I want is this one screen cap, and I'm getting disappointed/frustrated so far.

I don't think anyone has already posted this if so, I must have missed it, but how do you play DVD's on the computer? (I have Windows) Do you just pop it in, and it atomatically plays it?

Your computer has to have a drive clearly marked as a DVD player.  It will not play in a CD-only drive.
