Hey, pals, do you think this song covered by Chloe is all about him and his paintings? I've seen her perform that in the video.

Well, Don McLean wrote it as a tribute to Van Gogh, so I'd imagine so.

Really? How did you know? Was she singing to him who's already in the sky for now?

I knew the fact. It's on track number 8 from her album Walking In The Air.

It is a really pretty song, and I don't have Chloe's dvd yet, but I would love to hear her take on it, I bet it is beautiful.

Kimberly, you are so sweet, thank you for the link.  You know Chloe does a much better job than the original.  It was heavenly!    Smiley

Wow... I've only heard the Josh Groban version of that song, and I didn't particularly care for it.

Chloe's version, however, is beautiful! Thanks for that link, Kimberly!!

Kimberly, do you have a copy of the DVD "Walking in the Air"?

It's really beautiful.

in grade 12 English Don McLeans version of Starry, Starry Night was put on for us, and we were taught about Vincent Van Goghs life.

Apparently from what I remember, he painted abstract paintings before they were widely know of and popularized, and thus Im sure he had a lot of critics putting his work down.

Vincent Van Gogh had a history of mental illness, including depression and throughout his lifes at particularly trying times he attempted to take his own life.

The night of his death, he finally succeeded and commited suicide.

Besides Chloe, Josh Groban has covered this song from his album. Got any more coverers of this song?
